Our two week kids camp this year is Mindful Me! Camp dates are July 20th, 22nd, 27th and 29th. You will need to sign up for each day separately on this website. You can sign up for as many of the four days that you like.
We will be teaching ways to take a break from feelings of stress, frustration, worry
and fear by being more mindful of how are bodies are feeling. We will practice
ways to have a healthy mind, body and spirit by taking a breath, exercising,
focusing on the positive and even some easy kids yoga!
The camp will have a total of 26 kids. Each volunteer will work with a table of two kids ages 5-12. There will be Promise Center leaders presenting the activities and the volunteers will help their two kids do their hands on activities.
Volunteers will arrive at 10:30am to help set up. Kids will arrive at 11am and have lunch.
Activities will be from 11:45am - 3pm.
Volunteers will be required to attend a 30-45 minute zoom orientation and they will have that time added to their total volunteer hours at the end of the two week camp. The orientations will be offered several times during the week of July 12th-16th to ensure a time works for you.
Then volunteers will help clean up and get activities ready for the next day. Volunteers should be done by 3:30pm.
All activities will likely be indoors but the building tends to be warm in July, so nice shorts and t-shirt are fine. Please wear comfortable shoes that you can manage play activities in.
