Description

Bay Area Turning Point works with victims of domestic and sexual violence experiencing crisis in providing the essential needs for healing and recovery, including counseling, shelter, advocacy, and connection to community resources. Key elements to building a rapport with clients is relational client care and a well assembled safe space. The agency is submitting a request to restock and reorganize the Counseling Calming Center.  This project includes restocking and reorganizing the counselors calming center, where she meets with victim to assist them through their trauma.  She works with children and adult victims on their own personalized road to recovery. This will be a combination of hands-on assisting with reorganizing the calming center and purchasing the needed items.  Purchases include storage containers, crayons, paint, markers, coloring pages/books for children and adults, canvases, costumes, and board games (e.g. Apples To Apples, Candy Land, Chutes and Ladders).  Once purchased, the volunteers will come on-site to reorganize, and restock the counselling calming center.

This project needs 1 Project Lead and 4 Volunteers.
