The Poverty Simulation will give the teachers and staff of Goose Creek CISD a chance to walk in the shoes of ALICE. Participants will walk the story of a real individual and make decisions those living as ALICE make every day. The simulation will include real life resources, vendors, and choices an individual may experience. Day 2 will take place at Goose Creek Memorial High School.
Volunteers are needed to help run this virtual community for our players. Help run booths to simulate a grocery store, pawn shop, employment office, Realtor, non-profit organization, and more!
We are looking for volunteers who enjoy role playing and are excited to help others learn more about their community!
Volunteer will receive a short booth training starting at 7:00 am the day of the simulation, where they will learn what their role will be and how to run their specific booth. Lunch and a Live United shirt will be provided. Day 2 will consist of four 90-minute sessions with up to 50 participants each session. Parking details to follow as we get closer to the event date. Day 2 will end at 3:00 pm.
