Helping Clients Get Their Food
Our pantry is in real need of volunteers to help serve our neighbors.
We are a client-choice food pantry. That means that when people visit us, they get to see the food items we have available and pick out what they want and can use. We have recently gone to a one-day-a-week service on Thursdays, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM and we need your hel. People come to us with appointments, and we register and escort them through the fully stocked pantry to choose from among fresh produce, frozen meats, canned goods, bread and desserts, deli-style foods, and many other items. Each client gets someone to guide them through and assist with their choices, as well as get them out the door to their car or other transportation. We need a team of 6-10 people to greet clients with a hospitable smile and an eager attitude, sharing information about the pantry and how they can take advantage.
