If you would like to learn more about The Fred Aguilar Promise Center Cape Club (Child and Parent Education) Tues/Thur after school program and how you can help an elementary school aged child with activities that will help them excel in their regular school classes come join us for a tour of our center and our volunteer orientation.
Once you have completed the orientation you will be able to sign up for future Tuesday and Thursday volunteer events throughout the GCCISD school year and help children learn more about the topics they are studying in school. You only have to attend one orientation event. We have four different dates to choose from on this volunteer portal. be sure to sign up on the specific date that you want.; March 29th or 31st, April 5th or 7th.
Our program is designed to help parents and their children to succeed in completing homework and engaging in learning activities that align with the same areas they are working on during that six week period in school. We will work together as a learning community to help these children succeed. Activities will include lots of reading both in small groups and one on one.
