Who We Are
Bay Area Rehab has made a difference to thousands of clients with disabilities in Baytown and the surrounding Chambers Co. communities since we began operations in 1948. With outpatient occupational, physical, speech therapy and worker rehabilitation, the Center has a distinguished record of “making disabilities become possibilities”. The Center provides for senior exercise in its heated pool and our Early Childhood Intervention program provides therapy services to ‘at risk’ children aged from 6 weeks to 3 years. In May 2007, the Baytown Opportunity Center organization was merged into Center operations. This addition expanded our programs to incorporate vocational and day-habilitation opportunities and now enables us to provide a broader spectrum of general rehabilitation services. Finally, in 2019 we opened our Comprehensive Autism Program, providing autism specific services to clients of all ages. |
What We Do
The Mission of Bay Area Rehabilitation Center is to provide outpatient therapeutic, vocational, social skill training and recreational services for persons with disabilities or injuries and support services for their families. The Center also seeks to advocate for and work to provide accessible and affordable housing for this population.
Our Philosophy is that all persons with disabilities or injuries have access to a comprehensive treatment program, an opportunity to work at a level appropriate to their skills, live in accessible/affordable housing, participate in recreational activities, have appropriate educational opportunities and thereby maximize their independence in the community.
