Volunteer: Little Free Library Repair Needs – Anahuac Elementary SchoolVolunteer Opportunity: Back-to-School Little Free Library Makeover – Anahuac Elementary School Help us get one of our Little Free Libraries ready for the new school year! We are looking for volunteers to assist with maintaining the Little Free Library located at Anahuac Elementary School (905 N. Ross Sterling Ave., Anahuac, TX). The library needs to be carefully removed from its base and transported to the United Way office for some much-needed repairs. Maintenance will include replacing missing roof shingles, giving the library a fresh coat of paint, and making sure it is in excellent condition before it is reinstalled and ready to welcome students and families back to school. You can register for a volunteer shift and help us complete this project before the new school year begins. Your time and support will help ensure this Little Free Library continues to inspire a love of reading and provide free access to books for children and families throughout the Anahuac community. Through this program, teachers submit clothing and hygiene requests for students who may lack proper resources. Our goal is to ensure students can focus on academics — not on the lack of clothing or hygiene essentials. Volunteers play a vital role in maintaining our Clothing for Kids Closet and preparing these student requests with care and confidentiality. Volunteer Responsibilities Order Preparation Process Print the Request Form Prepare the Label Write the Teacher’s Name, School Name, Student IDNumber Attach label to the bag Identify if the student is Male or Female Confirm the requested size category: Toddler/Youth Boys Toddler/Youth Girls Female Juniors Women’s Men’s Go to the closet section that matches the request. Follow the quantity instructions posted on the closet door. Check if hygiene items are also requested and include them if listed.
