Event Details:

What: Drive-Thru Food Distribution Where: Patron Vehicle Line-Up: Cedar Bayou Baptist When: Saturday, February 7, 2026         

Volunteer Roles:

Unload and organize food deliveries. Load boxes of fresh produce and essentials into cars.

What to Bring:

A box cutter to assist with opening packages. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes and casual clothing suitable for moving around. A smile to brighten someone’s day!

HHB has a small staff that relies heavily on our volunteers to effectively achieve our goal of serving our neighbors in need.

Volunteer in our Client Choice Fresh Market or Food For Change Fresh Market

Become an inventory specialist and work to weigh, record, sort and stock inventory. Become a shopping specialist and work one on one with a client as they shop with their family. Pick up donations from one of our many retail donors

Join us as we serve our community through the Doorstep Blessing Program, a delivery-style initiative that breaks barriers to healthy, nutritious food access while meeting dietary needs. This program is about so much more than food—it’s about connection, education, and care.

Through personal delivery or a welcoming community room atmosphere, we offer:

Nutrition and chronic condition education. Cooking demos and healthy recipe ideas. Access to resources from social service and healthcare agencies, creating a true one-stop shop for our neighbors in need.

Event Details:

When:   Thursday, Jan. 8th    Where:  Meet at Hearts and Hands to assist us in loading to travel to Wyndham Park. 2700 Rollingbrook Dr. Baytown, TX 77521 

Volunteer Roles:

Setup Crew: Help prepare the space for distribution. Distribution Team: Assist with handing out nutritious food and resources. Encouragement Ambassadors: Share a warm smile and uplifting words with our precious guests.

What to Bring and Wear:

A cheerful spirit and willingness to serve! Comfortable, closed-toe shoes.

Volunteer Opportunity: Help Prepare Doorstep Blessings with the Chick-fil-A Crew!

Join the effort to create 200 non-perishable boxes/bags for delivery to seniors, the disabled, quarantined individuals, and those facing significant transportation barriers. The Doorstep Blessing Program goes beyond providing food—it fosters connection and care through personal delivery or a community room atmosphere. Together, we’ll bring nourishment and the love of Jesus to those in need.

Event Details:

When: Saturday, Jan. 24th Where: Hearts and Hands of Baytown

What to Expect:

Help assemble boxes/bags of non-perishable, nutritious food tailored to meet dietary needs. This project takes place indoors in a collaborative and uplifting environment.

What to Bring and Wear:

Closed-toe shoes are required for safety. A box cutter is recommended to assist with packaging.

Parking:

Park across the street at Northside Baptist Church. Cross Cedar Bayou Road safely and enter the door beneath the green and white awning.

Volunteer Roles:

Unload and organize food deliveries. Load boxes of fresh produce and essentials into cars.

What to Bring:

A box cutter to assist with opening packages. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes and casual clothing suitable for moving around. A smile to brighten someone’s day!

As we celebrate the 37th year of the Gator Ride, Hearts and Hands of Baytown is honored to steward such a legacy, and we are excited to work together as we "Gear Up to End Hunger!"

Hearts and Hands of Baytown is leading the fight to address food insecurity by providing residents with access to fresh, healthy food. In all our endeavors, we work to remove the stigma of needing food and provide clients with opportunities to strive toward self-sufficiency.

Because of support like yours, we can provide food for families in a dignified and supportive manner while linking services with collaborating partnerships to eradicate hunger and address the underlying causes. All proceeds from the event are invested directly back into our community.

The starting line cheer squad will cheer and encourage Riders as they start the route.

Parking and Traffic Volunteers 

-Provide onsite guidance and coordination for parking and traffic needs. -Responsible for locating and assessing barricades as needed.- Assist riders with directions from the parking area to the start/finish line.
