Thank you for answering the call to bring Hope for the Holidays for the clients at Bay Area Turning Point. We are excited to have you share the joy you get to experience with your families with our clients. It is wonderful to be a part of such a generous and supportive community. Please sign- up to join us at the Christmas Store located at 311 Pennsylvania, Webster, TX, 77598, on December 1, 2025, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm to Deck the Halls. We will be decorating the Christmas store for a warm and inviting experience while the clients shop. Please bring any Holiday decorations you like to create a Christmas Cheer atmosphere in the store. A hotline specialist is a person who we describe is the heartbeat of the organization. At Bay Area Turning Point we deal with domestically abused and sexual assault survivors. A hotline specialist volunteer will assist in answering the phone lines for those survivors as well as agency business calls. These special individuals will be trained to answer crisis calls and handle them according to the clients needs. We will equip you with the tools necessary to screen calls in a conversation style rather than a checklist form, give out resources whether within our organization or outside, transfer calls to the proper department amongst other things to properly handle this particular population of people. A hotline specialist must be patient, empathetic, poses good communication skills, and most importantly be an effective and active listener. All calls no matter the person on the other end needs to be greeted with a smile and treated with courtesy, respect, and dignity.  To apply for this volunteer position we simply need you to fill out an application, and register for orientation. Volunteer: Sponsor a Meal

Bay Area Turning Point needs your assistance with providing meals for the shelter clients.  We do not have a cook currently. Now that it is the summer and all of the kids are on break, hot meals are a must at the end of the day.  Dinner is the most substantial meal for the agency as most clients are home during that time.  We are looking for individuals or groups willing to sponsor, cater or cook meals.  Below is the logistical information should you consider assisting with this need.  Things to consider when preparing or purchasing the meals: Number of People:      Preparing enough for 80 adults allows seconds, sometimes leftovers for lunch. Time of Delivery:        Before 4 pm, dinner is served at 5 pm Beverages:                   Tea, Lemonade, and Milk Supplies:                      Paper plates, napkins, cups, and plastic utensils Condiments:               Mayonnaise, Mustard, Ketchup, Salad Dressing, Tarter Sauce, Cocktail Sauce Dessert is optional.
