The La Porte By the BayHalf Marathon starts from Sylvan Beach Park by the water, proceeding through La Porte streets and onto the Fred Hartman Bridge, one of the most beautiful and unique structures in Texas. We are in need of volunteers to help in the food area, water station, bag drop off, set-up and break down, and of course, to cheer runners as they race to save lives. After looping back to take on the bridge for a second crossing, the race finishes at Five Points Plaza where the post-race party awaits. Volunteers are welcome to celebrate with our runners as we come together for a great purpose.
All proceeds go toward helping The Bridge Over Troubled Waters mission. The Bridge offers support, provides safety, and prevents domestic violence and sexual assault violence. Your time donated will make a great impact on someone's life.
