Volunteer Opportunity: Senior Outreach Grab-and-Go Event
Join us in supporting our beloved seniors with nutritious food and uplifting energy! This exciting outreach is coordinated with the Houston Food Bank Senior Commodity Box Program to distribute prepackaged non-perishables and healthy produce in a convenient grab-and-go format.
Event Details:
- When: Monday, August 18, 2025
- Where: Meet us across from the covered pavilion in the Children’s Church at 400 Cedar Bayou Road.
Volunteer Roles:
- Cheer Squad: Bring energy and encouragement as we cheer on our seniors!
- Distribution Team: Assist with handing out food boxes and produce packages.
- Setup and Breakdown Crew: Help prepare and pack the area before and after the event.
Parking Details:
- Volunteer parking is available near the pavilion in the small lot closest to the lawn mower repair shop.
What to Bring and Wear:
- Comfortable, closed-toe shoes.
- A big smile and enthusiasm will make the day memorable for our seniors!
