Join the Baytown community this Thanksgiving as we work together to serve approximately 2,000 people at the Baytown Community Center. This year’s event will include a special ribbon-cutting ceremony honoring Marsha Barton, who has dedicated countless years to providing Thanksgiving meals for those in need. Let's celebrate her legacy and continue this beautiful tradition of giving.
Event Details:
- Location: Baytown Community Center
- Date: Thanksgiving Day
- Time: Doors open at 10:45 am
Volunteer Roles:
- Setup Crew: Preparation for our community meal.
- Serving Team: Assist with serving Thanksgiving meals, ensuring each guest feels welcome and cared for.
- Clothing and Blanket Distribution: Help distribute donated coats, blankets, courtesy of Love Network.
- Grocery Distribution: Help distribute nonperishables, baked goods and more, courtesy of Hearts and Hands of Baytown.
- Cleanup Crew: Assist with breakdown and cleanup to ensure the venue is left in excellent condition.
Additional Notes:
- Volunteers should arrive by 8:30 am and stay until approximately 2:00 pm, with flexible shifts available.
- Community service hours will be provided, and all ages are welcome to join in the spirit of giving.
