Volunteer as a Greeter / Screener with VITA!
Make a real impact in our community by helping hardworking families file their taxes for free through the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program. VITA serves households earning up to $67,000 and ensures they receive every dollar they’re eligible for.
No tax experience or IRS tax-law certification is required — this role is all about being friendly, organized, and helpful.
As a Greeter / Screener, you will:
- Check clients in for their appointments
- Confirm they have the required documents
- Enter basic information and assign them to a tax preparer
- Help keep the site running smoothly
You won’t be preparing tax returns — instead, you’ll be the welcoming first point of contact that makes everything else work.
