With summer in full swing, we are coming together at the United Way office to assemble 500 Summer Safety Kits that will provide valuable resources to members of our community throughout the season.

We are looking for volunteers to help make this project a success! If you are interested in participating, please register for the opportunity so we can plan accordingly.

If you already have a United Way volunteer shirt, please wear it. If not, one will be provided for you.

Volunteer: Clothing For Kids - Pack Clothing Request

The Clothing for Kids Program at the United Way office supports teachers who are helping students in need.

Through this program, teachers submit clothing and hygiene requests for students who may lack proper resources. Our goal is to ensure students can focus on academics — not on the lack of clothing or hygiene essentials.

Volunteers play a vital role in maintaining our Clothing for Kids Closet and preparing these student requests with care and confidentiality.

Volunteer Responsibilities Order Preparation Process

Print the Request Form Prepare the Label Write the Teacher’s Name, School Name, Student IDNumber Attach label to the bag Identify if the student is Male or Female Confirm the requested size category: Toddler/Youth Boys Toddler/Youth Girls Female Juniors Women’s Men’s Go to the closet section that matches the request. Follow the quantity instructions posted on the closet door. Check if hygiene items are also requested and include them if listed. Once the order is complete: Write “Completed” on the request form Place the filled bag on the Clothing for Kids shelf Place the completed form in the mail container next to the door.
