Who We Are
The Bridge was established in 1978. We have offices in Pasadena and Baytown. The Bridge has 100 bed shelter in Pasadena. We serve more people through our non-residential services than we do in our residential services Our mission: To offer support, provide safety and prevent domestic and sexual violence. Our Vision: The The Bridge Over Troubled Waters, Inc. is a visible force and leader in the community as an advocate against the occurrence and effects of domestic violence and sexual assault. We will remain strong through effective organizational and financial stewardship while purposefully serving our community.
What We Do
We provide emergency shelter for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. We offer permanent supportive housing with supportive services. Rapid re-housing with up to two years of financial assistance with supportive services. On site licensed and accredited childcare. Advocacy services that include but are not limited to: mobile advocacy, crisis intervention, case management including children and youth, safety planning accompaniments, court, hospital, police, etc. Financial literacy, support groups, therapy, and on site forensic collection for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault (SANE). Our team provides professional trainings, community workshops, psycho-education groups, and facilitated discussions concerning domestic and sexual violence and how to prevent these forms of violence. All of the trainings, workshops and groups that we provide are free and tailored to the group requesting the workshop.
